1. Tilles Park – St. Louis County
This all-abilities playground is a favorite for families. It features soft turf, climbing nets, accessible equipment, and a splash pad in summer. Bonus: paved walking paths and shady picnic spots.


2. Forest Park – Dennis & Judith Jones Variety Wonderland
A massive, inclusive playground designed for children of all abilities. Expect colorful play zones, musical elements, slides galore, and easy access to nearby trails and picnic areas.

3. Rocket Ship Playground at Kirkwood Park
Yes, there’s an actual rocket ship tower. With multiple climbing structures, bridges, and plenty of room to roam, this playground is a childhood dream.

4. Watson Trail Park
A woodsy-feeling park with modern play equipment, a duck pond, tennis courts, and mini-golf. Kids love the elevated climbing platforms and long slides.

5. Queeny Park – Play Center
This one has separate play zones for younger and older kids, a rope climbing net, swings, and shaded benches for adults. Bring snacks—there’s lots of space to hang out.

6. Shaw Park – Inclusive Playground
Shaw Park’s newest play area is designed for all ages and abilities, with sensory-friendly equipment and vibrant design. There’s also a nearby splash pad, skating rink, and tennis.

7. The Heights – Maplewood
An indoor/outdoor combo with a shaded playground outside and family-friendly recreation center inside. Perfect for rainy or super-hot days.

8. Blanchette Park
Just outside the city, this park has a huge playground with slides, swings, and built-in obstacle courses. It’s surrounded by fields and a family aquatic center.

9. O’Fallon Park
Renovated and expanded, this playground has soft turf, interactive panels, musical features, and picnic shelters. Great spot for birthday parties or weekend outings.

10. Muckerman’s Children’s Fountain at Tower Grove Park
Okay, not a traditional playground—but hear us out. This splash pad and interactive fountain setup is amazing for younger kids on hot summer days. Pack towels and sunscreen!
